Based in White Plains, NY, New York Power Authority (NYPA) is the largest state-operated power provider in the country. The company employs over 1,600 people in many different locations throughout New York. The company’s power infrastructure is designed and maintained by hundreds of engineers with approximately 60,000 engineering drawings, distributed over five independent sites. These engineers are mainly responsible for the design of extending power plants, design of transmission system, and the upgrade or overhaul of power units and systems. AutoCAD is the primary CAD application used for schematic drawings and equipment design.
