BlueCielo Meridian Project Portal helps companies to execute industrial asset projects in an external network of suppliers, contractors, authorities and customers. The portal enables project collaboration and document control for asset data managed in BlueCielo Meridian Enterprise and new asset data produced during the industrial projects. The project portal is a secure document repository that provides a single point of truth for project information. Since it is purely web-based, it is easily deployed to even the most complex supplier networks. The repository provides robust access control, version management and audit trail capabilities to ensure compliance with regulations. Various aspects of the project (e.g. data model, workflows, access control) can be easily adjusted by the project administrators without requiring assistance from the IT department, allowing fast response to changes required to the collaboration environment.
Official document transmittals drive industrial capital projects. Transmittal management allows document controllers to easily prepare, send and track document packages for transmittal to external project members. The packages are retrieved by recipients from the portal, which provides a full audit trail of activities performed and full security of content being transmitted, since no documents are transmitted over insecure transmission channels such as email.
Delivery of Document Packages by Main Suppliers
System suppliers and EPC contractors typically work on internal design applications and need to easily submit document packages to the project repository. The project portal allows for bulk imports of documents by suppliers into a delivery area for validation and verification before updating the master project structures. The copying of documents from the delivery area to the master project structure is one seamless operation that automatically creates new documents into the structure or updates existing document versions of the documents submitted.
Document Delivery Status Follow-up
Schedule and status information can be added to the document information based on project reporting needs. That information can be easily retrieved to an excel spreadsheet, which can be also used at a later stage to update the status information back to the document repository. Automatic notification messages can be set to be sent for documents that are pending or late.
Master Data Management and Handover
Most projects on industrial facilities occur during the operations phase of the facility lifecycle. In such cases, existing asset information can be taken as a basis for change projects, small or large. Alternatively, new build projects can be started from the portal without any existing asset data. The updated or new information flows seamlessly into BC Meridian for validation and internal review of the data, minimizing costs related to data handover from the project to the operational environment.
The project portal provides high security at many levels. The network traffic between the user and the portal always occurs with encrypted communication protocols. Users are always authenticated with a username and password and access to project data is authorized at the user and document level. Finally, the project portal provides access to the required asset information managed in BlueCielo Meridian from a DMZ network without requiring to provide external participants access to the Meridian infrastructure residing in your internal network.
